In answer to this growing need, buy-to-let mortgage lenders have introduced buy-to-let mortgages with low mortgage rates but higher arrangement fees, the firm's director, Nick Gardner, observes. He says this trend is "much more common in buy-to-let than in the residential purchase market". These remarks come on the back of the announcement by UCB Homeloans, the specialist mortgage lender of Nationwide, that it is expanding its buy-to-let mortgage offerings adjustable rate mortgage.
